Kathi is a US Navy Veteran. Answering the call for volunteers in 1973 as the Vietnam War was ending, Kathi enlisted in the US Navy when women made up just 2% of those in uniform. Kathi learned commitment to service, to one another and the strength found in standing together. Kathi is proud of her service during that tumultuous period in the United States and forever grateful for the sacrifices of those with whom she served and for those who continue to serve. She left the US Navy with an Honorable Discharge and a Letter of Commendation - Gold Wreath Award.

Following her US Navy service, she earned a Finance degree from Baldwin Wallace University and an MBA-Finance from Cleveland State University Graduate School. She began her career with a prominent Cleveland family investment office collaborating with and mentored by the firm’s founders. Kathi moved on to Case Western Reserve University, was appointed an officer of the University as Director of Investments and Assistant Treasurer; the 25th largest endowment in the country at the time. She was responsible for over $1 billion in endowment and pension assets focusing on risk management, allocation strategies, developing investment policies, leading research, and stock-selection.

Kathi has been a Guest Lecturer in the MBA program at the Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School. She was an invited speaker to the New York Investment Community Seminar and was an Adjunct Finance Instructor at Cuyahoga Community College.

Kathi has been married for over four decades to the ever-patient, Bill, a career energy investment professional with a half century of experience. Together they raised two children and now have four grandchildren. The extended family enjoys travelling the world together.
