The USS Cleveland (LCS-31) Legacy Foundation has been established with the purpose to send the USS Cleveland (LCS-31) to the Fleet with the greatest start possible, to support the ship and crew throughout her service life, and to welcome her home to Cleveland at the completion of her Naval service.
The community of the corporate leaders and hardworking and dedicated people of Cleveland is necessary in building a strong relationship with and providing support for the crew for the complete service life of the USS Cleveland. The USS Cleveland (LCS-31) Legacy Foundation will support the bridging of the relationship between the community of Cleveland and the proud men and women of the United States Navy who will serve on our namesake vessel.
A commissioning is a ceremonial joining of a ship and her namesake, very rarely done in the namesake city. We hope to give the ship and her crew a grand sendoff as she joins the world’s most powerful Navy and takes her place among the fleet.
